Cropten is farm country, and nearly every farmer needs a hand. A worm by the bus stop gives you your first tool, the scissors, and from then on most problems here come down to cutting something, finding something or making jam. The bus counter in your journal sets the target: ten stamps before Kiosky drives on.

Make a Friend: the scissors and the weeds
- Walk up the path from the bus stop and talk to the worm poking out of the ground. You get the scissors: raise the camera, zoom in on anything that can be cut and press A.
- Start right there: snip every blossom on the weed beside the worm. Once it withers you can follow the arrow into the rest of Cropten.
- The worm’s quest is the big errand of this region — five weeds in all, scattered across the map:
| Weed | Where |
|---|---|
| Weed by the worm | Next to the worm on your way in. |
| Weed in the cow field | Far right, in the bottom-right square with the dandelions. Cutting it frees the cows. |
| Weed in the Bakery | Inside the Bakery (top-right): the back room on the left. Climb the stairs and clip the blossoms as you go. |
| Weed on the tractor | Top-left square: a farmer’s tractor is stuck up in it. |
| The three big weeds | Back in the first area past the station, by the gnome man and the picnic blanket, once the others are gone. Cut the blossoms on the left and right weeds. |
- With every weed gone, return to the worm at the bus stop for the stamp.
Head in the Clouds
- The character on the picnic blanket, just past the bus stop, asks what you see in the clouds.
- Raise the camera, look up, and hold X on a cloud: focusing turns it into a shape. Take the photo and show it.
- They ask for one more shape, from somewhere else. One that works is the flower cloud above the top-right square, where the burrow house and the photo-challenge guide are. Focus, photograph, return.
Gnome Over
- Next to the gnome in chains, past the bus stop, someone is short of three gnomes for their empty pedestals. Find each one and photograph it:
| Gnome | Where |
|---|---|
| Bakery gnome | Top-right square, by the Bakery and its hay bales, near a fence and a crate. |
| Seamstress gnome | The second square to the left, where the seamstress lives: behind the steps up to the house. |
| Garden gnome | Top-left, in the big garden with two houses: hiding under the house on the right. |
- Show all three photos for the stamp.
Pot Or Not
- The gardener in the house beside the Grand Sunflower (a sight — photograph it while you’re here) wants ideas for unusual flower pots. Photograph these four:
| Pot idea | Where |
|---|---|
| Tin | Lying in the first area after the station, near the gnome man’s picnic spot. |
| Pot | On the ground by the water tower: from the Grand Sunflower, go left past the house. |
| Mug | Lying near the pig house and the greenhouse (first square left). |
| Boot | On the ground near the tractor house, top-left. |
- Show all four photos to the gardener for the stamp.
Dandelion Danger
- Three dandelions stand in the bottom-right square, to the right of the water tower. One of their family has gone missing.
- The lost sibling is inside the house by the Grand Sunflower. Photograph it, bring the picture back, and the dandelions give you a stamp.
Stubborn Seed
- Beside the burrow house in the top-right corner stands a giant. To talk to them, climb onto the burrow and step out onto its walkway.
- You get a Fancy Seed and need to find it a good home. That’s the pot inside the greenhouse, in the first square to the left of the map.
- Plant it, photograph the result, and show the giant.
Unwanted Renovation
- Inside the burrow house (top-right corner), the rabbit complains that someone is wrecking the place from above.
- Step outside and look up: a dog is digging on top of the burrow. It needs something in its bowl.
- Go one square left to the Bakery and take the bone from the cart inside.
- Drop the bone in the dog’s bowl. The digging stops; tell the rabbit for the stamp.
Migrating Scarecrow
- The scarecrow at the Bakery (top-right) is tired of the birds and wants to move.
- It can only stand in a patch of soil like the one it’s in now. The right spot is inside the farmhouse on the far left of the map, beside the living room.
- Place it there and the stamp is yours.
Getting That Bread
- This one overlaps with Make a Friend. In the Bakery (top-right), the baker asks you to save the shop.
- Go into the room on the left: a weed has grown right up through it. Climb the stairs, cutting blossoms with the scissors on the way.
- Report back: the baker hands over a stamp and a slice of bread.
Jam: Raspy Rooster, The Bees and the Jams, Jam Scare
- Three quests here want jam, and every jar is made the same way:
- Jam, step by step:
- Find the Jam Apple trees dotted around Cropten and snip the apples off with the scissors.
- Take five of them to the Jam Maker, in the first area outside the bus stop. Out comes one jar.
- That’s 15 apples for all three quests.
- Raspy Rooster. In the first square to the left, the farmer near the chicken coop (bottom-left of that square) has a rooster too hoarse to crow. Give the farmer a jar.
- The Bees and the Jams. In the second square to the left, the beekeeper needs jam on the hive to the left — the one shaped like a giant lollipop. Spread the jam on it, then talk to the beekeeper again.
- Jam Scare. The bear in the top-left part of the map had a jar until you broke it by accident. Bring a new one.
Muddy Monsters
- The pig house is in the first square to the left — look for the wreath with a pig on the door. The mother pig inside has lost three muddy piglets.
| Piglet | Where |
|---|---|
| Farmhouse piglet | Outside the farmhouse on the far left, next to the seamstress’s square. |
| Bakery piglet | Outside the Bakery, top-right. |
| Dandelion piglet | Down by the dandelions, bottom-right. |
- Scrub each one clean with soap, then go back to the mother pig for the stamp.
Hairstylist and A Cut Above the Rest
- The seamstress’s shop, on the left of the map, hosts both of these.
- Hairstylist. Outside, a rock with spiky hair wants a new look. Cut it into any style you like with the scissors and lock it in — any cut earns the stamp.
- A Cut Above the Rest. Inside, agree to the seamstress’s challenge. Pieces of fabric drop towards a basket; cut ten of them before they land. Win and you get a stamp plus the Overalls.
Missing Cat
- A farmer outside the farmhouse on the far left has lost a cat.
- Go to the square with the pig house and the greenhouse. In front of the pig house stands a barrel with a single flower sticking out.
- Raise the camera and hold X on it: the cat pops out. Photograph it and show the farmer.
Harvest Helper
- In the top-left square, a farmer dozes on the porch of a house while half the harvest waits in the ground.
- Walk along every bed in the garden and press A on each plant — all the carrots and onions. They hop into the basket by themselves.
- Wake the farmer, report back and collect the stamp.
Photo challenges
- Giant Chicken. The photo-challenge guide stands by a sign on the left of the top-right square. The riddle isn’t about a real bird: photograph one of the chicken-shaped houses in the first area or around the bus stop, then hand it in.
- Needle in a Haystack. This one is in your journal from the moment you arrive. At the Bakery (top-right), a pile of hay has a huge needle stuck in it. One photo is all it takes.
Climbing challenge
- The deer-masked mascot is in the top-left square, just below the highest point: the big garden with two houses.
- This first climb is a warm-up. Go up the steps on the left, jump onto the crate and then the first roof, hop to the next crate and climb the ladder to the top of the house. The flag is waiting there.
- Talk to the mascot again to collect the stamp.
Collectibles
- Cropten has eight clothes boxes plus the Overalls from the seamstress, and two music tapes — Macdemac on a radio by the water tower and New Pants at the seamstress’s. Their exact spots are on the Clothes and Music tapes pages.
