Back at the Faerie Village the flowers become medicine, the medicine cures the soldiers’ captain and the dwarf, and the dwarf’s help finally finishes the Magic Key. The Faeries also start making sigils, the five items you’ll need to call on Rubiss. Then comes the most important tour of the game: the blue doors hide the Sunstone, which you need to reach the end, and the Tectonic Plate, the best armour so far.

The cure

  1. Monsters are attacking the Faerie Village when you arrive, and you fight five at once. Don’t rush: focus one down at a time and heal whenever your HP drops to around 100.
  2. Afterwards the Faeries see you differently. Hand over the seeds from the Field of Flowers and you get two bottles of Sunup Syrup. You can cure your two patients in either order.
  3. The order used here:
    1. Warp to Rimuldar. The captain’s daughter is waiting on the bridge, and the scenes that follow end with the captain cured and the Princess’s Necklace in your bag — through it, you can hear Gwaelin.
    2. Warp to the Cave of the Dwarves. You land directly in the dwarves’ town. Give the dwarf in bed his dose; he’s up and off to Rimuldar at once.
    3. Warp back to Rimuldar and go to the Warlock of Doorlocks’ house in the north-west. After the scene you have the Magic Key.

The first two sigils

  1. Warp to the Faerie Village. North of the entrance you can see a chest on higher ground; go west and round the large tree to reach it. It’s blue, so it opens now: the Tempest Shield.
  2. Go into the workshop in the north-east corner. The Faeries have turned your glowing seeds into Soul Sigils. Agree to help them bring back Rubiss and you receive one.
  1. Speak to the Craft-Master (the Faerie in the yellow dress) again and hand over the Wellspring Crystal from the dwarves’ well. She makes the Water Sigil, which makes items more effective.
  1. Three sigils are still missing. Their ingredients turn up over the next few chapters.

The blue-door tour

  1. Tantegel:
    1. Upstairs in the house right of the church, the blue chest has 3,300 gold.
    2. Go to the grounds behind the castle, then to the south-east corner and down the stairs. The door on the south side opens into the room of the Sage of the Sun, who gives you the Sunstone.
    3. Once he settles down to sleep, check his dressers for a Dog Suit and a Mini Medal, and the pot in the bottom-right corner for a Seed of Strength.
    4. Inside the castle, the blue door on the east side of the ground floor opens onto an electrified floor. The left barrel has a Seed of Agility; cast Safe Passage to cross to the right barrel and its Prayer Ring.
    5. The blue door upstairs (via the north-west stairs) leads to an empty room.
  1. Galenholm: inside the red-door building, the room on the left has a blue door. The large dresser holds a Cat Suit and the small one a Ring of Clarity. The Grave of Galen still needs the last key.
  2. Kol: the chest at the bottom of the well finally opens: Orochi’s Sword.
    1. It’s a big step up from the Faerie Foil, and it lowers a group of enemies’ defence when used.
    2. Keep the Faerie Foil in the bag for its defence buff.
  3. Rimuldar: a blue door in the south-east corner outside the inn leads to a chest with a Special Medicine.
  4. Cave of the Dwarves: in the dwarves’ town, the blue door at the north-east hides two chests: a Strength Ring and the Tectonic Plate. Put the Tectonic Plate on right away.
  1. Damdara: Zalen is standing in the middle of the ruins. Talk to him. The Knight Aberrant is still too strong at this point; it can wait.
  2. With the tour done, you’re ready to go after the princess.
