Three storylines run side by side here: Linda’s concert (with Albert’s violin), Gunter’s printing press, and Donkey’s strike. You can weave them together however you like. What makes the order below work is reputation: by the end, Albert reaches 50 and Gunter reaches 30 — exactly what their next conversations require.

Linda’s concert
- Linda asked for Paint when the shop reopened, which unlocked its formula. Mix it in the lab from an ingredient worth two green runes — Flour or Swamp mushroom — plus a flask. (Lacquer won’t do.) Hand it over with Here’s some paint.: 10 Linda reputation, Town Gratitude, a Story.
- She now wants Aleksta’s violin, held by Aleksta’s brother — Albert. In his underground lab choose The Violin: he’ll part with it once it’s re-varnished, and teaches you Lacquer.
- Mix one Lacquer from an ingredient worth two blue runes — Night flower (found around the Ruined Temple) or Minced Meat — plus a flask. Give the Lacquer: 10 Albert reputation and the violin.
- Give Linda the Violin (10 Linda reputation). She wants incense to mask Albert’s experiments: buy Simple Incense (Trademaster or Apothecary — not Fancy Incense) and hand it over with Exotic incense (10 Linda reputation).
- The concert happens on the day marked with the merchant-ship symbol (ask New people? if it isn’t showing). On that day choose Starting the concert? and watch it all.
- Rewards: 2 Town Gratitude, a Story II, 10 Albert reputation and A Night to Remember. Keep the Story II — the Poetry Book needs it.
Albert and Linda
- After the concert, Albert wants a zombie for a project. He activates his special autopsy table and gives you 2 Reanimation Liquid and 2 Golden Zombie Collars. The golden collar holds up to 8 red skulls, and he wants at least 8 — so the body must have exactly 8. Swap organs before resurrecting if needed.
- Carry the finished zombie to his special table (the option only appears with 8+ red skulls): 10 Albert reputation. He keeps it, so don’t use a worker you rely on.
- Linda wants to give Albert a notebook (10 Linda reputation). Make a Blank Softcover Notebook — Leather Scroll x1 + Clean Paper x4 → 2, Books I, Book writing 2 — and Give the notebook (Town Gratitude).
- In Albert’s lab, Tell him about Linda; he refuses. The second try, Albert, it’s about Linda again..., needs 50 Albert reputation — which the dust, lacquer, concert and zombie add up to. Leave them alone, sleep, then visit each for 10 reputation apiece.
Gunter’s printing press
- Gunter’s first visit to your church started this: hold another sermon and close the results. Gunter blames the low turnout on your zombies being seen at work.
- At the observatory choose Problem at the Church. Buy a Hypno-device from his tier 3 stock and charge it at the Formulation Bench with 1 Faith (Alchemy 2). Give Hypno Devices, then test it at another sermon: 10 Gunter reputation and the Poetry Book request.
- The press itself is a Newspaper unlock (30 red, 10 green, 20 blue), available once Gunter is at 20 and Books I is researched. It goes in the Writing Room and costs Oiled Beam x3, Bronze Gear x2, Iron Detail x6.
- Print a Poetry Book: Blank Softcover Notebook + Ink + Story II (Book writing 4). Printed Poetry gives 10 Gunter reputation, Town Gratitude, another Story II — and an unsigned agreement.
- Take the agreement to Jack (About PR). He’ll only sign with Get a PR contract at 60 Jack reputation; he won’t sign until his workshop is back in Phase 8, which adds 20 (10 for entering, 10 for the two kit deliveries), so ask again then. Bring the signed copy back to Gunter with New Frontman (10 Gunter reputation).
Donkey’s strike
- Once Chasing Fairy Lights and Donkey’s concern about Agatha are both done, his next delivery turns into a strike: no bodies while Agatha blocks him from the Crossroads.
- Ask Agatha about Corpse delivery (needs 10 Agatha reputation — the writing supplies give it). She sets two tasks, in any order:
| Task | Report with | What it takes |
|---|---|---|
| Graveyard quality 20 | I fixed up the graveyard | More graves and better decorations. |
| Underground well | Underground path | Polished Bronze x2 + Polished Stone x4 at the well below the Crossroads manhole; Building 3. |
- The well report gives 10 Agatha reputation and 2 Town Gratitude. Then choose Corpse Delivery again: deliveries resume, and on Wrath days you can set how many bodies you want for the week.
- At the morgue, Donkey’s scene starts on its own: tell him he can deliver again and let him leave. He mentions that Gunter knows where the Necronomicon is.
- Ask Gunter about the Necronomicon (20 reputation), then again (30 — the Poetry Book takes you there): you get the book, 10 Gunter reputation, a Story II and Forbidden Knowledge. Donkey stops by once more after his next delivery; let him say his piece and go.
