Night falls as the squad makes for Fort Vigil, picking up civilians and stragglers on the way. The route runs through apartment blocks, across a bridge covered by snipers and down to a crossroad you’ll have to hold. 5 collectibles and 5 Hard Cases, no supply caches.

Through the buildings
- Your objective for most of the chapter is Make your way to Fort Vigil. The first stretch takes you and a group of civilians through apartment buildings — keep them moving and clear each room before they follow.
- After the checkpoint, open the door and check the couches for the Iron Coast Beer (collectible 1); Hard Case 1 is just to its right. Up on the roof, the electrical room has a small hole you can crawl through to the Portrait of Chairman Jacob Monroe (collectible 2).
- After the next Locust fight, don’t go straight in: climb the ledge on the left for Hard Case 2, then crawl through the hole in the wall inside for Hard Case 3.
The bridge and the crossroad
- Clear the path to the bridge, then deal with the snipers watching it before you try to cross. Hard Case 5 is on the right just before the bridge.
- Find a way down to the street and clear the crossroad. On the way, the collapsed park holds the Memorial Ceremony Program by the umbrellas (collectible 3) and, higher up, a dead Boomer wearing the Locust Spiked Shoulder Pad (collectible 4).
- In the courtyard, check the left side by the balcony for Hard Case 4.
Repel the Locust forces
- The last fight is a stand at the crossroad: a mounted gun helps a lot here, so use it to mow down the waves coming up the road.
- Near Fort Vigil, look in the sniper position for the Explosive Bolt (collectible 5) beside a Torque Bow. Driving back the attack ends the chapter.
