Back in Kalona, the survivors have dug in at Monroe Library. Like Hold the Line, this is an open chapter you can explore between objectives: 14 collectibles, 12 Hard Cases, 3 supply caches and 3 side objectives. Two of the side objectives — each with a collectible — only show up after you help Corporal Harris.

Sweep by area
- The district split into blocks, so you can clear one at a time:
- Where you start: Hard Cases 1, 2 and 3 come one after the other along the opening road.
- Monroe Library: Hard Cases 4, 5 and 6 and the base’s supply cache; south-east of the library, Captain Grey’s Field Journal and the Locust Pistol Ammunition; south-west, Oded Bay’s tags in the fountain; to the north, the Rooftop Mayday flare.
- Octus Tribunal: the cache outside the Kalona Theater; to the east Robin Hamill and Tracy Moore’s tags; to the north Colonel Trench’s VIP List; to the north-west Luis Garcia’s tags.
- Kalona Hotel: to the north Bernard Havelock’s tags (via the camper van) and Hard Cases 10 and 12; to the north-east Hard Case 11 under the bridge; to the south-east John Carnahan’s tags.
- Landa Memorial Hospital: to the east Rachel Carnahan’s tags, the Evacuation Order and Hard Cases 7 and 8; to the south Terrance Sander’s tags, Hard Case 9 at the train station and the Weak Signal building; nearby, the cache outside the bakery.
Speak with Captain Grey
- The chapter starts with Reach Oria Stadium and Rendezvous with Tai — pick up Hard Cases 1–3 on the way in.
- Next is Speak with Captain Grey: follow Tai to Monroe Library, where the survivors have set up, and clear the library’s surroundings before you can enter.
- Inside, the objective is Speak with the Mayor and Captain Grey at the map table. Hard Case 4 is in the back-left corner of that room and there’s a supply cache nearby — a good time to set up your mods.
Brief Corporal Harris at the hotel
- Go to the hotel to brief Corporal Harris and help with the trucks. The moment you touch the cargo, the group is ambushed and the objective becomes Kill the attackers.
- The ambush includes Spore Matrons. Aim for the eye and shoot down the spores they fire before they reach you.
- Helping Harris unlocks Lost in the Park and Rooftop Mayday — each gives a collectible as well as mods.
Provide support at the hospital
- Head north for Provide support at the hospital: rendezvous with Manu, who has found fallen members of Epsilon squad, then retake the hospital.
- Inside, find the medical supplies — they’re past the Boomer, in the room marked with a blue sign. Take the Boomer from cover.
Protect the convoy
- When you’ve finished exploring, the objective Return to the library when you’re ready lets you move on from the table near Captain Grey. Gear up first — a long fight is coming.
- Protect the convoy: fend off the attack on the trucks, then catch up with the convoy as it heads north. Rejoining it ends the chapter.
