The police station

Act 1, Chapter 2 opens in the police station lobby.iitsStatic · 35:05 · CC BY 3.0
  1. Grab the KPD Police Bulletin (collectible 1) from the tables on the left before going in. The lobby holds a grim sight — the police chief, impaled — and the Bloodied Police Chief’s Badge (collectible 2) lies to the chief’s left.
  2. Head downstairs for the armory. Be ready as you get close: a single creature lunges out of the corridor on the left.

Practice at the shooting range

The KPD shooting range — the Locust break in through the far wall.iitsStatic · 40:05 · CC BY 3.0
  1. The game frames this as target practice (Practice at the shooting range), but it doesn’t last: the back wall gives way and the objective switches to Clear the shooting range. Stay in the booths and pick them off as they come down the lanes.
  2. Then clear the rest of the station — the outside is crawling with them too.

Help the civilians

  1. Outside, a city bus is full of people too scared to move. Deal with the creatures around it first, then help the civilians off.
  2. With nowhere safe nearby, the squad heads for the recruitment center (Reach the recruitment center). On the way you meet Locust that carry and fire guns for the first time — this is where cover really starts to matter.
  3. In the recruitment center lobby, look behind the front desk for the Army Recruitment Pamphlet (collectible 3) and just to its right for Try on Pilot Helmet (collectible 4).
  4. The last order is Escort the civilians to the police station. Walk them back and the chapter ends.
